Keep a little hope, keep your fingers crossed. The only thing you can do for someone sometimes is hold their hand when they cry. Some of my best friends growing up were hard drug users and cutters who ended up in abusive relationships and with no self esteem. People CAN develop the strength to be something better and move past their demons. Your scars may take time to fade but eventually they’ll be gone.
